Find Your Tree

By George Cassidy Payne

Find your tree
and everything
Zen made of sky.
For the world
has gone wrong.
The gamma rays
are off. The heart
is anachronistic
and losing power
each day. Old and
in the way, waiting
for the morning to
declare the peculiar
condition of a tree-
that boundary in
time and space, that
wave like disturbance.

George Cassidy Payne is a poet from Rochester, NY.
