Lavinia

Ideas are fleeting like
air molecules, or flicks
of a woman’s eyelashes
after the first appliance
of eyeshadow.

Or maybe they are more
like basket weaved hats
that no one wears anymore,
not unless they want to be
seen or reenacting,

as if there is a difference.
