Journal #3
Survival is
nature’s morality.
Life on its own
is valueless.
We give it value.
We make it worth
something,
and say it’s so.
Like your Aunt’s
favorite pearls
or your Uncle’s
golden watch.
We are the tree
falling with no one
there to hear it crash.
