About the class

Each session is divided into 4 parts, of meditations based on the instructions of the Tibetan mahasiddha, Karma Pakshi.  His meditations are known as “Introduction to the 4 Kayas.”

Karma Pakshi extolled the “4 Kayas” meditations far and wide, even teaching 2 Mongol emperors (Kubilai Khan and Mongke Khan).  The meditation session will include some breathing practice integrated into visualisation meditation. Graduated, guiding explanations will be given.

Charles was in Buddhist meditation retreat for 8 years, and has recently written a book about Karma Pakshi’s life and writings. He currently works in the British Library and the Bodleian Library (Oxford) as cataloguer for the Tibetan literature collections therein.
