Medical Camp Launched at MIMC Devachan Campus During Relic Exposition

In Leh, Ladakh, a free medical camp has been launched at the Devachan Campus of the Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) in conjunction with the ongoing public exposition of the Holy Relics of the Buddha, an initiative by International Buddhist Confederation and the Ministry of Culture.

Organised by MIMC in collaboration with the Union Territory Administration of Ladakh and SNM Hospital, the camp began on 1 May and will run until 14 May 2026.

Services are being provided daily at the Mahabodhi Mahakaruna Charitable Hospital in Leh, offering medical consultations and free distribution of medicines to the public.

Specialist doctors, including gynaecologists, ENT specialists, ophthalmologists, and dental surgeons, are available for consultation. The camp also provides tuberculosis (TB) screening, non-communicable disease (NCD) screening, radiology, and other diagnostic services.

According to organisers, the first two days saw approximately 250 people attend from villages across Ladakh. Beneficiaries included local residents, monks, nuns, and labourers, who accessed healthcare services during the period of the sacred exposition.

The camp will continue throughout the duration of the relic exposition, with organisers encouraging members of the public to make use of the free medical facilities.
