my favorite cage

is made of 
porcelain white bars, 

surrounded
by ringlets of fire, 

red hot and orange
as daisies

consumed by
the summer sun.

Those cornerless 
bars, alive and fierce

as fractals, daring me 
to eclipse my freedom.
