Lyudmila is Buddhistdoor Global’s East Europe Correspondent. She writes articles about Buddhism in Eastern Europe, Russia, and Mongolia. She completed her PhD in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism at Sofia University, Bulgaria where she teaches Buddhist art, women in Buddhism, Tibetan culture and religions of East Asia. She also works as a curator of Asian art at Sofia’s National Art Gallery, and a yoga teacher. Lyudmila started her Buddhist practice in 2002 after receiving refuge and Dharma name Tsering Dolma from His Holiness Penor Rinpoche, who was the 11th throne holder of the Palyul Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism.
