Give Gifts and Leave

Poem and images by Oleg Yuzefpolsky

What more could i ask for?
To wake up not knowing my next step,
To fall asleep not knowing my dream.

~

The empty, quiet early morning road
covered with yellow flowers. . .
As I sat to drink chai, a dusty white cat
came and peacefully slept next to me. . .
Stones are breathing,
I woke up to love. . .

~

What is holding atom particles together?
What is holding planets together ?
Spiraling worlds turn inside baby’s nail.
Nobody knows what makes a rose.
Lioness’ milk is only for lions.

A drop of gold.
Between eyes.
Down at the belly.
Roots of heaven.

~

As waves relaxed into the ocean,
They clearly felt its magnificent depth and
Something so unexplainably mysterious that
They merged with it without giving it any name

~

Give gifts and leave. . .
Go somewhere, inside of you, where you are full with gifts again.
Give gifts and leave. . .
Stay only gifted.
That simple Life.
