On September 3 2025, Buddhistdoor held a 30th anniversary celebration and symposium in their administrative center of Tung Lin Kok Yuen, Canada Society. Representatives from the Buddhist, academic and cultural circles from many countries gathered to witness the important milestone in the promotion of Buddhist digital media.

The symposium was themed “Nourished and Steered by Dharma into the Future: Buddhistdoor as a Disseminator and a Catalyst in the Contemporary World.” It brought together many speakers from around the globe to discuss the development of Buddhism in the digital age, the empowerment of female monks, social media, and the dialogue between Buddhism and artificial intelligence.

Buddhistdoor was founded in 1995 by Mr. Robert H. N. Ho. Its stated mission is the promotion of Buddhism and benefiting of sentient beings. Over the past 30 years, it has developed into an international Buddhist media platform covering the Chinese, English and Spanish languages.
Professor Lee Chack-fan, director of Buddhistdoor, director of TLKYCS, and chairman of TLKY in Hong Kong, said in his speech that Buddhism’s thirty years of persistence reflects the ongoing progress of the deep integration of Buddhism into modern society.

The symposium also showcased greetings and congratulations videos from partners and friends from diverse and important institutions around the world, highlighting Buddhistdoor’s expansive network of interests and reporting.
