Narrow Road To The Inner Region 奥の細道: Episode 3

Narrow Road To The Inner Region 奥の細道: Words, Images and Sounds on the Way

Images and video by Oleg Yuzefpolsky

This series, “Narrow Road To The Inner Region 奥の細道,” is dedicated with Love to, and blessed and inspired by, the Mighty Himalayas herself and her beautiful people. “Narrow Road” is also an homage to the poet Matsuo Basho, a dear inspiration whose poetic travelogues have guided people like me for the past 300 years. In this way, through my visual travelogues, creative energies of ancient East converge with the musical drive of today’s world and bring Inspiration and Awe to my heart. I hope you feel it too.

Episode 3: Walking through Ladakh

is directly proportionate to the
amount of Light we have inside.

What is this enormous space
That keeps revolving in my chest ?

Just watch how it happens

Dirty dog says:
The bone I am chewing is called “truth.”
There is not much meat on it,
Maybe that’s why nobody wants it.
But it is the only one I have a taste for . . .
Want a piece ?

~

Feed horses,
before you feed yourself.

Though i was still far from the Temple,
a girl who met me on the way,
correctly assumed that i was going there.
“It’s closed,” she said.
“Not if you have the key,” was the answer i heard inside of me.

In thick fog,
what seemed to be a wall from far,
was actually a road.
Keep walking and path will appear.
