Image and poem by Oleg Yuzefpolsky
Thirsty sits by the river,
looking for water.
A wise man comes and say:
“Blind you are, drink up the river.”
Thirsty says: “Days of wisdom are gone.
The river is polluted.”
Wise man cries river’s pain,
Thirsty drinks the man’s tears and is, thus, quenched.
